Consilium Safety Sweden acquires specialist in fire alarms 

Consilium Safety Sweden has acquired the fire alarm company Brand- & Säkerhetsgruppen i Skåne AB (BRSG) and thereby further consolidates its position in the Swedish market for fire detection. The acquisition adds important expertise as well as contact networks and significant customers, which together provide good conditions for continued growth. 

“The acquisition of BRSG is an important ingredient of our growth strategy in Sweden. The company has been a distributor of Consilium’s fire alarm products for ten years, so we know them well. With the acquisition, we broaden the market, bring in new customers and strengthen our expertise”, says Ulf Petersson, Managing Director of Consilium Safety Sweden and regional manager Nordics. 

The acquisition adds a number of major customers, including Scandic Triangeln and Pågens Bageri, both in Malmö, as well as Lomma municipality. BRSG has about 260 installed facilities, mainly around Skåne. About 50 of these have service agreements, which will be handled by Consilium Safety Sweden. 

All employees in the acquired company will transfer to Consilium Safety Sweden, where the previous owners of BRSG will also have leading roles in the company’s Swedish organization. Robert Sjöström joins as project manager with a team-leading role at the Malmö office, while David Holmberg strengthens service work management. 

Consilium Safety Sweden’s ambition is to grow strongly in the land-based segment in the Nordic countries in the next few years, both organically and through acquisitions. To support this goal, Consilium South, West and East have been merged into a single operational and legal unit in Sweden, Consilium Safety Sweden, which creates a bigger and stronger organization.
